External thread for screwing onto the lamp neck - beware buyers - nice, but not good for me

had to be returned. older lamps are threaded on the inside of the "neck". This is done for the threads on the outside of the lamp neck. very nice, but not suitable for my lamp. Be sure to check the threads before ordering as the product information does not describe the thread location.
