Best Screws at a Great Price

A few years ago I started buying this brand of screws at a local hardware store. They cost more but work better than any other bolts I've used: they split the board a lot less, mostly never snap, sink well, etc. The price here at Revain is great for almost 26lb bolts. The only thing you don't get is a plastic bucket as they come in a USPS flat rate for cheaper shipping.

Ideal for frames and other oversized wood.

I put them through 2 x 4's within 1" of the end and they still don't split the board. Great self-tapping screws and torx bits really do snap so well I can work with a screwdriver. Handover as the screw remains on the bit/screwdriver. I checked the website of the (family) company that sells them and found my new supplier. So thank you for a great product (I go through 60-100# every year). I'll be back, but in a good way.

Difference From Photos

If you look at the photo of one of the screws I made you will see that the bit tip advertised in the listing is actually just a small notch that has been machined, and that's not even at the top of the screw. A tapping drill 1/2" above the bolt body is useless, a Hillman fastener with a bit on the tip got it right. I definitely think the value for money at £5 for less than $40 is pretty good is good but this is just a case where it seems like you get what you pay for.Poor craftsmanship is one…
