🖨️ High Yield Magenta Ink Cartridge LC203M for Brother Printer Review

My printer did not recognize this ink cartridge. I've installed and reinstalled and even restarted my printer multiple times, and nothing. I watched a video on YouTube of a guy swapping the chip on ink cartridges from an old cartridge for a new one. I tried it and it worked!

This cartridge says "high performance" but it certainly isn't. This printer is rarely used as a home printer. I print about 10 pages a month. I received this on May 5th and the ink ran out on August 5th.

The letters and all the pages are printed cleanly, but I have a 500-sheet pack of plain printer paper and have at least 200 pages left. That's 300 pages on two LC203BK cartridges (one that came with the printer and this one I bought. I'm on the third cartridge now. I've looked at the old ones and seen a lot of unused ink, although the printer said she is low and denied the pressure.

I use my Brother MFC-J5720DW mainly for black and white documents with additional color jobs, so I have to order this black cartridge more often than the colored ones. Firstly I like that Brother has separate cartridges so I can do it and secondly I like that it lasts quite a long time. With moderate usage I can expect 5-6 months from a single cartridge, although I occasionally encounter much higher usage rates that can reduce ink supplies to three months.
