Definitely works better than expected.

I have used raisins for the fermentation process before but my goodness yeast loves it what took over a week to bubbly well now took only a few hours. The only downside is that it smells like my kids' dirty socks and is off-putting when you think about it, but that smell dissipates and is no worse than the smell of hydrogen sulfide from the fermentation process.

Happy Dough Maker for Brewing

This nutrient works amazingly well. The dough has no strange taste or foreign smell. In fact, it smells exactly how I remember it, pizza dough smelled like the pizzeria on the corner where I grew up. Which made me want to do other things even more. I've made pizza, calzones, and chicken rolls. Delicious. High quality crispy pizza on a thin crust. Rolls and stretches easily and effortlessly. Love it!

It Was Useless - Home Brewing Starter Kits

I have followed all the instructions in the brewing guide I purchased and NOTHING is fermented. I should have tasted this before using it in my recipe. When the brew was supposed to be done there was ZERO fermentation and there was no layer of nasty fungus (a week in a cool place) on my wort. I then tested the yeast with some warm distilled water and honey as usual. After an HOUR in a medium warm place there was no sign that the yeast was alive. I am incredibly disappointed and have given up…

Great stuff, reliable and works the same every time.

When used as directed, you can use this to speed up the process and increase the alcohol content when there is enough nutrition in your brew. It sinks to the bottom quickly so I would suggest adding 1/2 at the beginning of your run and the other half within 48 hours. Thanks to this, it was possible to get a better quality drink without harmful side effects. Keep an eye on the temperature for the first two to three days, especially if you use a thicker infusion. Warming was increased several…

Exceeds expectations!

I used to use the recommended 1 teaspoon per gallon until I decided to add a little more to a 2.5 liter bottle of strawberry soda and a gallon of plain sugar wine to test the quality of the products. I used 3 teaspoons soda and 5 teaspoons sugar wine and was shocked to come back less than an hour later to see both bottles already fermenting! They produced a bubble in the castle every second for 3 days. Needless to say I would highly recommend this product to any home brewer and will continue to

Works well! good for home brewing and winemaking

Pretty amazing stuff. We just couldn't make 6 gallons of blueberry wine (DC 1090). We even used 2 packs of Lalvin 1118 and still almost nothing happened. After about 9 days we added 1 teaspoon per gallon of this yeast nutrient and within a few hours it started bubbling in the airlock. 24 hours later and it's getting crazy! There was also a 1-gallon batch of blackberries that were slow chugging. a bubble or two in the sluice every few minutes. Hang around 1.020 for about 2 weeks. Add 1/2…

Seems to do the opposite of what it should

I ruined three batches of cider with this junk. I make an appetizer with just juice and yeast, then when it's very active I add it to 5 gallons of juice with added sugar and this yeast nutrient (1 teaspoon per gallon as directed on the package) and I get nothing or very slow fermentation . The same process without nutrients worked very well. The product is poorly packaged (arrived in a torn bag that was scattered throughout the Revain envelope) and falls apart when shaken. It contains solids…

Kitchen and dining yeast blower

I put it in 4.5 gallons of apple juice (Mott's) at 12:30 and in the bubbler at 9:00 it looks like this! This nutrient has everything you need to grow your yeast at scale. I've been using Fermax for quite some time and even rely on it on some of the stronger (high acid) drinks to keep the yeast alive and doing its job. If you're a beginner you can't go wrong with this product, if you're looking to expand your beer options you can't beat the price! For reference, the ambient temperature that day…

As far as I can tell it works great; Easy to use

I use this in a batch of traditional (ie unflavored) mead, which should come out strong and dry, with EC-1118 added to four pounds of honey and enough water to make about to make gallons . Introduced in the morning, including a teaspoon of Fermax. From the middle of the evening there wasn't much going on, but the next morning and for several days since then it was bubbling and smelling pleasantly of yeast. Well, this is *not necessarily* related to those nutrients, but it seems that this…
