I love these sets, this is the third set I'm making for my grandkids. I have a complaint and it's about the threading system they give you. It's confusing and very time consuming to separate all the different colors and keep them separate throughout the quilt. The little cards you are given to hold the severed thread are waxy and cannot be written on. The handles don't work. Honestly, I'd rather go to the Joanne factory and get some threads, it's a lot easier that way. I love kits though.

If I wanted to unravel a huge nuisance I would mess up a pair of tights. And of course, you need an artistic background and some kind of super-sensitive eyesight to be able to distinguish between things like "light peach, light coral, dark peach, light pink, pink and dark pink." I like the die-cut design, but there are areas where the pattern is obviously badly die-cut. Some of the letters were cracked and warped, and other parts of the cover were dirty. Some floss colors and needles were missing. Luckily I embroider a lot so I have extra needles and dental floss. The thread that came with the kit was wrinkled and not of very good quality. I want to start by saying this blanket smelled so sweet when I finished it! The quality of this quilt appears to be good, but it was very difficult to separate the colors of the thread that was included and try to match them to the color names on the chart. Thread is cut to individual size (the idea is you only get what you need) but everything is mixed in the box and not color coded. I usually have good luck with Bucilla products but this time I'm not sure. Obviously the quilted fabric wasn't completely flat when the pattern was printed on it and there are a few areas I need to get creative with to get it right. I can fix it, it just takes longer. This product has the same problem as everyone else - there are strings to the product, put everything together, put it in a bag and viola! However, you must separate the colors and "guess" which is paler rather than lighter. Also, I just read the instructions in detail which makes me sooooo glad I did. This blanket says "SOAK DARK COLORS IN VINEGAR AND WATER" UNTIL THE WATER IS CLEAR. Because obviously "darker" colors bleed out when wet. I'm glad I saw this but disappointed that I have to go…
