I bought this for my 12 year old daughter who uses Dragon Speak at school because she has dysgraphia. She is thrilled that she has a microphone that helps Dragon Speak pronounce most words correctly. 1. The noise level is too low. I had nothing but complaints from everyone on the other end. It provides excellent noise cancellation, but at the same time reduces and does not increase the sound level. Not applicable in a professional environment. You will make a fool of yourself.2. Good things first. The microphone is very directional. It has good sensitivity to the mic, but as the sound source moves away from the front of the mic, the sensitivity decreases until you hear almost nothing when the source is at a 90 degree angle to the front of the mic. . I have bought many desktop mics and have been very disappointed but the Amigo Cobra is very slim and sturdy and I was very happy to read that it works with Dragon Naturally Speaking - I didn't know that when I placed my order and I did was very satisfied satisfied.
