Makes your desktop wireless

If you have a wired desktop and want to ditch the ethernet cable for your modem, give this adapter a try. The Buffalo Wireless Adapter plugs into any USB port and turns your desktop into a wireless PC in minutes. The software is easy to install (some PC and network knowledge required) and very reliable. Very good product.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Fast, easy to use and reliable

This wireless adapter has greatly increased the speed of my connection to my main desktop. The installation took 10 minutes and has been running like clockwork ever since. The Buffalo drivers offer some customization if you want, but I went with the defaults and couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that the adapter is quite wide, rendering the USB port next to it unusable.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Latest model (v1) does not work with WD HD Live TV

I purchased this item based on a list of tested and supported wireless USB adapters for WD HD Live TV. This model has now been upgraded to the WLI-UC-G300N-V1 supplied by Revain. It's not Revain's fault, but this model DOES NOT WORK with WD HD Live TV. Called WD Tech Support and they said the V1 model isn't the original model they tested and that's why it doesn't work!

Complete garbage - computers and accessories

I feel compelled to write a review on this product (using an ethernet cable!) After using it for 4 months it works 75% and 25% % doesn't work, it has to be restarted several times or it's terribly slow. I just connected my Windows XP computer directly to the modem, went to the speed test site and got 8MB/s. I then connected to the same modem through this wireless router and couldn't even load the speed test website! (Same goes for my Windows 7 work laptop). I bought a $35 USB switch that should

Not as good as it used to be

I have had a Buffalo router for several years and have decided to upgrade to an 11n router (from 11g). I installed a new router and immediately had problems with disconnects. I was starting to think I didn't have the right range, so I decided to buy a second router for my wife's office and set it up as an access point. The tech support people told me that the original firmware that came with the devices was too complicated to set up a second device as a hotspot and that I had to download the…
