It's Great: Computers and Accessories

It's just great. I've ported over a dozen games to it, I just plug it in and the load times are as fast or even faster than my computer's internal SSD. Small but nice, I like it.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Not Bad

Broke after a few weeks.

Let's forget for a moment that even if everything worked perfectly, the case didn't fit at all. We focus on the hard drive becoming completely unusable after a few weeks. Worst ride I can imagine.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Reliability

Impressive size and speed.

Buffalo is a mid-range hard drive brand. But this portable SSD seems to be one of their best devices! I love it! This is the right capacity EXACTLY as advertised, VERY fast and looks very cool. It arrived for my birthday. I'm really impressed this time.

So far so good: computers and accessories

I use this as a secondary drive in my Xbox Series S, although I already have an official Segate drive. Putstick works great and is plug-n-play. Minimal formatting required. The odd thing is that I've got six Series S games transferred to this disc and four of the six play straight off the disc and two don't. You don't have to worry as the translation is a piece of cake. It's just weird that some of these games run without being transferred to an internal drive or partition. Regardless, the…

Amazing SSD in data storage

This was a great find. I currently have one, but will most likely get many more. Two more as extended storage for my PS4 and Xbox One S once I add internal 1TB SSDs to them. This gives me 2TB of storage per system. These sticks are very useful. They appear as soon as you connect them to a computer. You can slip them into your pocket and slip them out for quick portability. This is great because it offers more protection from hacks. In general. I'll give it 10. I know Amazon only gives it 5…

Feels weak and doesn't reach top speed

The drive feels cheap and threatens to break my fingers. Maybe not, but that's how I feel. Came with that sticky protective plastic sheet so it doesn't scratch except it's on even the smallest pieces so I spent 5 minutes peeling off all those little pieces of plastic. I ran 5 different Winsat speed tests on both USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gb/s) and Gen 1 (5Gb/s) ports using an extension cable and via a hub. The maximum speed was 3.15 Gb/s, maximum 400 MB/s. That's 33% less than the advertised 4.8 Gb/s…
