The drive feels cheap and threatens to break my fingers. Maybe not, but that's how I feel. Came with that sticky protective plastic sheet so it doesn't scratch except it's on even the smallest pieces so I spent 5 minutes peeling off all those little pieces of plastic. I ran 5 different Winsat speed tests on both USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gb/s) and Gen 1 (5Gb/s) ports using an extension cable and via a hub. The maximum speed was 3.15 Gb/s, maximum 400 MB/s. That's 33% less than the advertised 4.8 Gb/s 600 MB/s, even with the upgrade. is it fast Yes. Is it as soon as advertised? no Is it worth the price? May be. It's the only one claiming those speeds and not $350,600 so I guess that's a compromise?
