Works perfectly! good for NAS

I have been using Buffalo Tech products for 15 years. I use it as a backup destination for my Veeam backups. These things are great for archiving or backup storage.

Pros
  • Business NAS: Organize, share and back up your important files securely. Ideal for small offices / SoHo
Cons
  • Functionality

They don't currently work with Dropbox

They claim you can sync with Dropbox. But they are currently having a problem and cannot connect. (according to tech support) So you have to wait for the next firmware update to fix the connection. Who knows when that will be.

Pros
  • Includes hard drives (pre-tested, certified, NAS class) - for reliability and easy setup, saving you time and hassle
Cons

Easy setup is best in NAS

As always from Buffalo, perfect product. To me, this is an expansion NAS that integrates beautifully with other Buffalo devices I own. I saw another review here that said this device is not compatible with Apple. This would be user error, it works seamlessly with all Apple platforms.

Pros
  • Integrated hybrid cloud backup/sync with Amazon S3, Dropbox, Dropbox Business, Microsoft Azure and OneDrive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Wish I had one like this a long time ago

Perfect for my small office. I needed a place to store an ever-growing number of image and document files for my small office. Server space is extremely expensive and eventually starts an endless cycle of performance degradation. Solution: network storage. Stupidly easy to set up. So reliable! Just holds the truck together. Now my application server is running at full speed and I sleep at night. Solid investment! The best return.

Pros
  • Annapurna Alpine AL214 (Quad Core 1.4GHz) with 1GB DDR3 RAM
Cons

Managed but difficult to set up

I bought this server to combine 4 desktop NAS devices in a local area network. Somewhat naively (an old pro but out of business for 15 years) I followed the brief guide and attempted to mount it in an old desktop rack. The mounting rails provided by Buffalo appear to be designed for a 19" deep four-post rack or larger, not my 14" deep two-post rack. I had to wind it up to make it work, using all rails instead of the two suggested in the instructions. After turning it on I didn't like the…

Pros

Cons
