Description of πŸ”† Bulbrite 134020: Revive Vintage Appeal with 40W Nostalgic Edison Quad Loop-style Bulb

SPECIFICATIONS: Included in this box is a single 40 watt incandescent bulb. Each Edison inspired nostalgic bulb has a quad loop style filament housed within its cottage style glass globe. This bulb emits a warm light. Its dimensions are β€Ž6.5 x 3.9 x 3.6 inches. INTRICATE FILAMENT DESIGN: The Loop series replicates one of the most celebrated carbon-filament construction designs, patented by Thomas Edison circa 1880. The artfully looped filament adds old world charm to any lighting fixture. Make an impact on any design. BLOWN GLASS STEEPLE: Depicting turn of the century manufacturing processes, the defined steeple on the Nostalgic Collection mirrors the tip produced when blowing the glass into a light bulb envelope. Crafted with an antique hued glass reminiscent of early glass production for a vintage feel. MULTIPLE USES: Great for chandeliers, sconces, and outdoor lighting. Swap out your existing incandescent bulbs with a similar dimmable bulb that has upgraded decorative appeal. An amber glow for this fancy bulb and filament means it's fashioned for making a statement. MULTIPLE OPTIONS: Nostalgic bulbs available in Chandelier and Edison-style. This version comes as a single bulb, but it's also available in a package of six. The Quad Loop is available in 25W and 40W, although wattage is not indicative of the bulb's light output.

not quite the light I expected.

I ordered this to use with an antique fluted glass shade pendant lamp. I already had an old 40 watt light bulb, so I knew how much light I wanted. When I installed this light bulb it didn't appear to be anywhere near forty watts, maybe twenty five or so? I've had other bulbs of this type before, so I'm thinking maybe this bulb was either bad or "off". Manufacturer. I will try again

Pros
  • COMPLEX STRUCTURE ON THREADS: The Loop series reproduces one of the most famous carbon filament structures patented by Thomas Edison around 1880. The elaborately twisted filament gives each lamp a vintage charm. Influence every design.
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great as a night light

In the age of CFL and LED lighting, the warm glow of old-school incandescent bulbs is sometimes missing. Compared to these newer technologies, this lamp is not efficient. You don't get much light for 40 watts, but the light you do get is very warm and reminds me of what lights used to look like. We mainly use this light as a night light for our baby. It's bright enough to be maneuverable in the living room, but not bright enough to fully illuminate the entire room. Of course, there are more…

Pros
  • MULTIPLE USES: Great for chandeliers, sconces and outdoor lighting. Replace your existing lightbulbs with similar dimmable lightbulbs but with improved decorative effect. The amber glow of this whimsical lamp and filament means it's meant to make a statement.
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Perfect for a radio table lamp or a stylish room!

When everyone down in the White House is complaining that lightbulbs are evil and throwing us these CFLs ("Curly Frying Bulbs") these days, nice to see one of those These light up your table. Firstly, the glow from them is dreamy when you have a room full of antiques and need to make it look "right". Second (and this is a blow to environmentalists) these are MUCH more environmentally friendly than CFLs, they contain no mercury, no plastic etc. Just plain old metal (biodegradable) and glass, two

Typical Lighting

I saw these bulbs at a local restaurant and was so in love with their signature 'overhead cartoon' bulb that I had to have my own! Turning them off to about the brightness of a candle is fine for me - I don't need a backlight, I want the filament to be a work of art in its own right, so I leave them on the dimmer and turn them off. no fluorescent lights. The 3000 hour rating is average, meaning some will burn longer and some will burn fewer hours. A few tips to extend the lifespan: Keep it at…

The dimensions of the lamp do not correspond to the declared

The brightness of a 40 watt light bulb is about right. I compared it to another Edison bulb I bought from Home Depot and a standard 40 watt bulb I already had. I haven't measured the exact lumens, but when I compare them side by side, the brightness seems to be the same for all bulbs. that's why you pay so much for a lightbulb). At full brightness you can't see the filaments clearly if you look directly at the bulb, but if you're using a bulb in a tinted glass pendant like I did, the tint helps

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive
