🕒 Bulova B1848 Nordale Clock: Timeless Elegance in Walnut Finish Review

This clock is well made and replaces one that was gifted 15 years ago. This is a rich looking watch for the price.

We really liked this watch. This was a gift from my mother-in-law after she lost a similar one (along with her roof and pretty much everything else in the house) during Hurricane Laura. It was so well received. It's beautiful and more than I expected for the price!

I am very satisfied with my service and the fast delivery of my order. I think the watch looks elegant and works well. HOWEVER - I bought the same watch 20 years ago and the semi-rotating ornament under the dial stopped rotating about 7 years ago. They said it was beyond repair. Sentimental, bought the same watch. The watch is cute from afar BUT made of very cheap materials. All gold colored products are made of plastic, not metal. You can also see 4 small screws inside where the bottom has been attached to the sides. Appearance can be wooden. It's hard to tell if it's solid wood or just laminated wood. My personal opinion is that the watch is not worth the price. They are more like a $25 watch than a $100 watch in design.

I bought this watch to replace the Linden anniversary watch which also had a quartz movement. The clock looks like my old linden tree with a glass dome. The old watch lasted 10 years and was a gift (cheap) from one of my employers. This one is plastic, just like the old one, but the body looks way better than the glass dome. The old one's decorative balls stopped working due to a design flaw, while this one has a separate battery operated mechanism and replacement parts can be found online if…

Nice little watch. Slightly shorter than I expected but the size fits right where I want it. When I first unpacked it and put the watch battery in, I was disappointed that the pendulum didn't rotate. I was also disappointed that the internal parts are plastic. I read other reviews and was surprised nobody else mentioned the pendulum problem and then I read a review that mentioned the pendulum had a motor and in fact I looked under the floor and there was room for it.
