Ideal Textile Glue

This worked great for gluing the ends of the strips of fabric together while I was making my project. Gluing was easy with the glue stick and the glue dried quickly so I could continue sewing. Even the machine needle didn't bother me.

Pros
  • Color Glue dries clear, leaves no residue, dissolves in water and is safe for most fabrics.
Cons
  • Damaged

The glue is still visible after drying.

Does not disappear. Note that the glue is still visible on the white fabric after it has dried and ironed. So only use stitches when it is not visible. I tried gluing the paper to the tack cloth and the glue showed through the block.

Pros
  • Handy archival quality pen dispenser.
Cons
  • Requires socket

Glue stick for sewing fabric

I like this glue, especially for basting paper. Some people might be put off by it saying blue but I was glad because it allows you to see where you are sticking and then attach what you want and when you peel off the fabric or paper they are not blue, but transparent. This was the best fabric glue stick I've ever used and I'm glad the blue didn't stop me from trying it. No smell, no mess, great product. I have one with an extra glue replacement so I don't have to buy it so it's always on hand.

Pros
  • Solid glue stick. Small volume holds fabrics in place for sewing. No need for pens.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
