The carpet shown in the product description has a fabric that covers the channels and edges. The carpet we got was made of shiny plastic which made it very cheap. Even though this item was marked as "Free Returns" and the return process didn't show any shipping costs, the return shipping fee was deducted from my refund. It took me over 50 minutes on the phone with 3 Revain customer service representatives to fix the problem and they couldn't explain why it happened.

I ordered two colors, black and grey. They are used indoors on my wooden steps which I have switched from carpet to dark wood. i love gray I just like black. Black looks more industrial or street style and its fibers are more visible. Gray has a smoother color. I adjust them from time to time as they slide a bit to the edge but they don't create any sort of trip or slip hazard. It does not bother me. I like them a lot and looking back I would buy all gray next time.

Quality is the first word that comes to mind when you think of this product. It is well made and works much better than cheaper rubber or plastic mats. He stays where he is.
