I've read SEVERAL "horrible plastic smell" reviews that literally made me reconsider my purchase. However, rationally and calmly, I started reading more reviews and found LOGICAL. I received my coffee maker a day early and set it up the next morning FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. Works great and doesn't smell.

I like everything about the Bunn coffee maker except one thing. I feel deceived, I was looking for a coffee maker made in the United States by an American company by American citizens. I paid twice what I wanted just to get it and to my disappointment the pot is made in China. The description says made in America by an American company, or at least I think so.
