Very poor workmanship

There is a dark spot in the center of the range finder. According to Bushnell, dark spots are inevitable in the production of $300 LCD screens. THIS IS SOME NONSENSE. THIS IS JUST POOR PRODUCTION AND BUSHNELL ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY. Yes, it doesn't affect accuracy, but it's annoying, and their poor apology is just an excuse for poor quality control. I WILL NEVER BUY A BUSHNELL AGAIN.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Operating speed

Immediately my scores in golf plummeted!

In my 70+ years, I couldn't aim accurately at the flag with other rangefinders I've tried. It's easy to use and aim at the flag to get an accurate distance. I love this rangefinder and wouldn't want to be without it again. My reviews went to the Bushnell V-5 in the mid 70's. Since using this range finder I have had three below average reviews. I attribute that to knowing exactly what distance my throw is needed from.

Be sure to secure the Golf so that it will not fall.

I had one and liked it a lot. Bought it in August 2020, used about 6 or 7 times and played golf on October 6th. The range finder fell off the wagon rail in the wagon path, I haven't seen it fall since the last time. When I came back I had no luck finding him. So I reported it was lost in the pro store, heard nothing. I even came back the next day to walk around the area where I remember losing it, still no luck. So I bit the bullet and got another one.

Bushnell V5 - Range finder

My V3 started giving me problems after a few years so I decided to buy a V5. Beautiful and compact design. The magnet works great and it's nice that they included it in the product design rather than having to buy something else to hold the rangefinder on the cart. The only problem I have is that sometimes it's difficult to block the flag. It won't lock or give me readings well past the flag and I have to shoot the flag multiple times until I get the right distance. Still, probably one of the…

Bushnell quality without breaking the bank

Outstanding optical clarity is the first thing you notice. The range function is accurate and easy to use, but the optics are so bright it looks like you're looking through an expensive spotting scope. I planted the flag from 450 yards away. My previous rangefinder (Nikon) had trouble finding the flag at 200 yards. This is my second Bushnell range finder. I had a Pinseeker 1500 (pre-Nikon) and it worked faithfully for over 10 years but eventually took too many hits and stopped working. I'm glad

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Clarity

Optics and rangefinder worked perfectly. Tuning was an issue

The unit was working fine when I finally finished the setup. The problem area is the battery cover. You had to remove the battery cover to remove the piece of plastic that separates the battery during shipping. The cover and body are aluminum. The lid closes with a very thin thread on the lid and a matching thread in the body. However, the cap only has 1 to 1.5 turns from loose to tight: it took 4 tries to engage the threads - the first 3 had the cap popping out while playing and I was lucky…

Excellent rangefinder - reliable compared to Nikon

I bought a Bushnell Tour V5 after returning the stabilized Nikon Coolshot Pro rangefinder. The Nikon rangefinder was small, very light and didn't seem reliable to me. It worked well, I particularly liked the image stabilization, but I wasn't sure about the durability. I bought the Tour V5 instead because I read that it has improved looks over the previous model and adds a visual punch to the vibration boost. The device feels much more solid, is a good weight, has a nice rubberized body and…
