🚫 GOBGOD Alpine Video and Navigation Models Parking Brake Bypass: Effortless Video Module Access with Car Audio and Video Harness Review

Used for ILX-W650. Fixes an issue with settings without engaging the parking brake. I didn't use either wire in my application. Sorry I forgot which one. Just note that you won't be using it when installing the W650.

Comes ready to go when I installed my Alpine ILX-W650. Works perfectly! Without this, you have to apply, release, and then apply the emergency brake again to access Alpine settings. STUPID! This detour is worth every penny!

I didn't want to find the stock wiring harness in my car to tape so I bought this bypass module. Used it to install an Alpine iLX-W650 and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took me no more than 5 minutes to connect the radio.

I am sure that it is a used or returned item, the packaging was already opened, there are remnants of black electrical tape on the ends of the clothes, all different lengths. And no cuts in anything but the green parking brake cable. This is more than questionable and risky as it is an electrical component. I come back.

Be sure to follow the instructions and connect the wires as they dictate. There is no foot brake cable on the ILX W650, so it goes unused. Even if you don't have an adapter connected to the blue/white remo wire on the Alpine wiring harness, you still need to connect the bypass wire to it in order for the brake bypass to work the way you want it to with the main unit.

Works as it should. I've seen others have matching cables from Alpine to make it easier to see what goes where, but other than that it's a great product. Directions are easy. The green wire was not needed in my application. Better than the radio salesman next to me who wanted $25! I highly recommend it so you can use all the features of your radio while driving.

Jumped into my truck today and the diversion no longer works. Pulled Alpine w650 to check the connections and everything was fine. Runs for a minute and then there doesn't seem to be a problem with the bypass. Everything else on my Alpine works great. Maybe buy another

First I would like to say next day shipping was fantastic due to Amazon fulfillment, instructions were clear but in my case I had an extra cable at the end, but the bypass works perfectly, you don't even realize it's there, which is what I wanted. I'm not sure why some leave negative reviews. I'm not a wiring expert but it was easy and a customer service email was provided when needed. I didn't know, but it's nice to know.
