🍾 6 gallon Glass Carboy by E.C. Kraus Review

These bottles are made from good quality Italian lead free glass. The glass is thick, the bottles are heavy. Just note that when filled with 3 gallons of water they weigh about the same as filled 5 gallon plastic pitchers. I hope they last a long time on our water dispenser! The only thing to note is that due to their weight and the lack of a built-in handle, be careful mounting them on the water cooler to avoid dropping them due to the weight. I accidentally bought two of these and they were dispatched within 6 hours so I couldn't cancel I only needed one but it was a happy mistake. Now I have 5 of these 6 gallon bottles and the 2 I ordered are exactly the same as the ones they sell at home breweries and everywhere else. One had a small spot that looked like a crack but it hadn't completely gone and it doesn't look like it will cause any problems in the future, just a small spot in the bottle. If you have a home brewing store in your town it will cost around $35. good deal (saves me gas and travel time to the nearest store). It arrived VERY quickly. Impressive. The product itself is what it is. It appears to be well made, my only gripe is that my previous bottle handle doesn't fit it, but this issue may just be a handle I bought decades ago.
