This is a beautifully made tool. My wife needed something to pierce a spaghetti squash with a knife. It will do the trick, but it's still rough on the hardware. I use this every now and then in the shop when a mallet is shown.

I bought this to use on chicken breasts and other cuts to get the even thickness needed in many recipes. This is exactly what I was looking for. Nice weight and seems very durable. Easy to clean although I don't wash it in the dishwasher.
