Not a bad little adapter - worked great for my wife at her job - she needed to program wireless access points - but - she only has a laptop with a USB Connectors - hence - the adapter I bought came with a cable plug - wireless access port - plug. Hm. Plug this adapter into either a cable or into a wireless and boom access port. "I love it when a plan works out."

Nice but it would be nice if you could remove the screw terminals. Some male cables also have female screw terminals and as a result the connectors do not match. Removing the clamps is not an option as they hold the connector cover in place.

Needless to say I needed a direct ham radio jack adapter so I could use a jack cable. I had to loosen one side of the screw so I could connect it to the radio, but it came off easily with pliers.

Yes, it's hard to believe that anyone needs one these days. However, I have a ham radio that requires a COM port to be connected. I had a serial cable but the gender didn't match. Hence the need for this little adapter. That works great.

It deserves an extra star for its slim design and lack of cable, but that doesn't make up for the lack of features. I was trying to connect to HP ProCurve on my company laptop using an RS232 USB cable. That does not work; although a flat bluish-blue Cisco console cable worked instead. It might be useful for other applications that I don't know about, but it didn't work for my purpose.

The only downside to this product was that I had to do an IT operation to remove the screws to allow it to connect to the back panel. Computer.
