Cabiclean 2 HEPA Filters with 6 Carbon Pre Filters for AP-1512HH Coway Air Purifier Review

Both sides of the HEPA filter (left and right) are slightly wrinkled resulting in small gaps on either side. I ended up putting on tape to (mostly) cover those parts of the open edges. (See top left and bottom right corners of the image). Air passage through these gaps reduces the efficiency of the filter. I replaced the original Conway filter which didn't have the same problem as the Cabiclean.

Unfortunately these filters seem to be adding VOCs to the air. The activated carbon filters don't seem to have any effect on reducing VOCs on my meter and the HEPA filter does add VOCs to the air. Very disappointed. I bought two boxes, returned one but I don't know how to return the other one as I already have the filters installed and my mother in law has one now. I think I will order from Conway in the future.

I have ordered these filters twice for my Coway 1512. When I first ordered the filters didn't fit as well as the ones that came with the Coway unit. but they fit quite well. However, this second filter order is ideal. They entered firmly and left no gaps. The activated charcoal odor filters are much better than the odor filters that originally came with the Coway unit. I will definitely use these replacement filters in the future if they continue to offer the same quality and fit.

As you can see the image on the left is brighter and much less reliable than the filter on the right. Left is a Cabiclean pre-filter and right is a different brand. We will be buying other brands of pre-filters in the future as they are not good enough compared to the competition. If you want to extend the life of your HEPA filters and air purifiers, you need a pre-filter that removes as many macromolecules as possible.
