This Inakustik Star cable is a standard optical cable for digital signal transmission with TOSLINK connectors. It can be used with any CD/DVD player. For high-speed transmission of a digital audio signal, information is converted into light pulses and transmitted over an optical cable. In such a cable, a transparent synthetic fiber acts as a conductor, which has a bandwidth of up to 10 MHz and will allow transmitting a digital multi-channel audio signal at the speed of light with virtually no loss, while providing 100% protection against radio and electromagnetic interference. Signal loss in an optical cable usually does not exceed 1 dB per 1 m of cable length.
