Ditch the proprietary cable, it works great!

So far, so good! I wasn't willing to pay for an Oculus brand cable and a great cable item sold me for this one. I grabbed the latest update, turned on the 90Hz mode, and immersed myself in my IKEA VR furniture assembly game for a few hours. It's a solid cable, but not as thick as some others I've seen. Good as advertised Good for cables and connectors

It works with no problems and is still fairly stable. I don't have another cable to compare so I can't say if this one is ok. But at least for now I'm happy with it. The cable is not too hard, but not too soft either. I don't play too intense games with him with too much body movement so he doesn't interfere with my movements. But I feel extra weight. Works well and as advertised

TL; DR, that's good, buy it if you can't afford the cable for the first batch. Configure to install an optional USB 3.1 Gen 2 card designed to use this cable, on the theory that my motherboard is not delivering enough power to the port to charge the headset. This change worked and the cable will now adequately charge the headset when using Oculus Link!
