It works Electronics

Works great with my Intel NUC Kit NUC6i7KYK Mini PC. I had to reboot the ESXi to switch the display from HDMI to Mini DisplayPort output, but that's a one-time thing and probably because I'm not running a regular OS (like Windows or Linux) that has a more robust graphics stack. . Best of all, it doesn't require USB power like an HDMI to VGA adapter does.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Works perfectly. The cable length is perfect for .

Bought to connect my old monitor to a MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) as older MacBooks don't support HDMI. Works perfectly. The length of the cable is perfect for my home setup where I use it most. I have a longer VGA cable that does the dirty work of routing it from my monitor under my desk and through an accessible cable slot in my desk, so this length works for me. I've had it for a little over a month and haven't had any problems so far.

  • Not the best

Works great, full resolution

Bought this to connect my Ultrabook to projectors at work. The first time I plugged it in the screen flickered and the color was off, the second time everything worked fine and has worked well for over 2 dozen workouts. It also displays a resolution of 1920x1080 (maybe it could be higher, but that's the max resolution of my monitors). The quality is very good, the cable is not flimsy, the plugs are well sealed. I didn't try too hard, but I couldn't screw in a VGA connector, which doesn't really

great for VGA cables

This cable worked great and met my needs. I needed to give a presentation in a group class and needed to connect my computer to a remote location to broadcast the presentation. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a mini display port. My friend told me about it and our presentation went great. If I needed it I would definitely order it again.

Works except Surface Pro 4 Dock

Works as advertised most of the time. Very strange, but the new docking station Surface Pro 4 will not work. It works with Surface Pro 4 connected directly to DisplayPort on a real tablet. Tested on two different docking stations. However, the "Cable Mattersยฎ Mini DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI/VGA 3-in-1 Male to Female Adapterโ€ works on the docking station.

  • Industry Best

Great solution to an intentionally created problem

Does exactly what it says on the tin. This allows you to connect your device, which does not require a VGA connection, to every single projector in every school, church or convention center. Why do we need a port for devices we have when we can have a port for devices we don't? Oh, so we need to buy an adapter. Roger that. The adapter works great with my mid 2010 Macbook Pro. It does exactly what it needs to do. Pros: Inexpensive solution to missing a truly needed port on full-size laptopsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Gold Standard - Computers & Accessories

I purchased this cable to help with the initial development of my Intel NUC (model D34010WYK). I hooked it up to an old Proview 700P monitor that only had a VGA input and needed a way to connect it to the NUC's mini display port. The NUC ended up in the living room where it was connected to a TV via an HDMI cable, but originally I wanted to use Proview. Installation was literally instant. I like that it doesn't increase the length of the VGA cable and routes all signals clearly to the smallerโ€ฆ

Superb Active Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter

I recently bought an AMD Radeon 7850 for casual gaming and was particularly intrigued by AMD's Eyefinity software which can cover gaming on 3 or more monitors. So I bought two old monitors cheap on eBay that were the same size and resolution as my current one. Since the graphics card only had one DVI connector to be able to use the supplied DVI-VGA adapter, I had to use two Mini DisplayPorts. I didn't hesitate to try this adapter when it had the best reviews and most other Mini DisplayPort toโ€ฆ
