Surprised by the quality.

Great product for the price. I have a basement lab with an electronics workstation, a PC test/build station, my main desk, and an extra desk. I like hardwired devices and dangling, loose cords got on my nerves. I bought these for a simple quick fix with no real hopes for amazing quality. I was very satisfied with the quality. My local hardware store has single port surface mount ethernet connectors that are of lower quality and cost far more than one of these plugs.

Great connector, but be careful to connect it correctly.

Works great, very solid construction, great price. The only problem is that the numbers appear to be marked for T568-A, which initially gave me trouble as T568-B is more common. Actually the punchdowns are green and orange but the pin numbers marked on the board appear to be T568-A which I did and wired wrong which caused my cable tester to show an odd pattern. It's not labeled as clearly as some of the other ports. This isn't a design flaw, but I would like both pin numbers to be labeled for…

Simple and easy installation

If I am mounting access points or cameras that need to be covered by a false ceiling, my SOP is to terminate the cable to one of these connectors and then use a suitable patch cord CAT6 length, to connect the access point/camera to the device. I have a few of these in 120 degree rooms and they usually do what they want with no problems. All in all no complaints. Easily finished with a 110 perforating tool and simply bolts to a joist if you need to secure it. ). I haven't seen anything like this
