Solid Adapter: Computer and Accessories

Good adapter but sometimes it needs a reboot to work properly. Plugging in the adapter after starting my MBP seems to result in the DVI port not registering with the external monitor until I reboot. I've had occasional issues with the Ethernet port not working when the DVI port works unless I reboot. A bit annoying but I have an adapter for everything so it's a big win. No problem if the adapter loses signal when running, even after the MBP has gone to sleep. UPDATE: It looks like the problem…

Cable Matters saves the day again.

I needed a USB-C adapter for my MacBook with Power Through and DVI support for Apple Cinema Display (2005). I first tried a Trianium brand USB-C hub with an HDMI port (connected to an Apple DVI-to-HDMI adapter that worked fine with an old MacBook Air) and it didn't work. I replaced it with an Apple multiport adapter that worked. BUT I want to find this adapter from Cable Matters first! UPDATE: Failed after 3 months

Well, I really liked the adapter, but it only worked for 3 months. First the Ethernet port failed, then the DVI port. Now it only works as a USB hub. Unfortunately I've reverted to my squid of Apple branded adapters but at least they work. Original Review: There were some issues with the DisplayPort version of this adapter in a 2015 MacBook that I was able to test with the new ones, which I believe was due to the lack of support for some standards.
