Not working on my Dell

After reading the reviews and knowing that it was compatible with a Dell laptop I ordered this product. The first one didn't work and as soon as I plugged it in it started smoking. I was appalled that the laptop was damaged. I've requested a replacement but they're not charging for that either. See photo, it says the adapter and voltage are not suitable. I've used the 65w USB-C adapter from my Dell and Hp laptops with no success.

Pros
  • Embedded PD emulator trigger on Type-C female end.
Cons
  • Socket required

Amazing adapter for charging via Type-C cable

Laptop I used this adapter This is a Dell Inspiron 7375. I wanted to charge my laptop with a 65w PD charger and a PD portable power bank as it is easier to carry around compared to the original Dell charger is. It's also much more convenient since most of my devices use Type-C connections. My laptop had some issues initially as my laptop didn't recognize a battery to charge. So initially my laptop was on but it wasn't charging. I had to go into the Dell laptop BIOS and change the battery charge

Pros
  • Input: Type-C Female, 65W or 87W Type-C Charger Output: DC Plug, DC 18V-20V (Does not support 5V)
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for elderly

Works for Dell Inspiron 13 7000

Update 12/02/2021: It finally stopped working. Looks like the black ring on the end of the connector has broken off. I'm not sure if this is the reason, but now it doesn't work anymore. Well, it was great while it lasted. I now have another straight connector (similar concept) that I will be using while I decide if I want to order this again as I prefer this curved connector. Update 04/11/2021: Still works great. So far there are no problems. My Dell laptop is used by my kids and the adapter…

Pros
  • For HP Laptop
Cons
  • weak
