Reliable, high-quality connectors

My application involved assembling a 125-foot, 15-pair serpentine microphone cable. They were very easy to install and I found they protected a separate foil shielded pair with drainage. Good quality product. I would recommend it. Bean

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Convenient connection for work.

I had a little problem how to open them so I could solder the wiring. I happened to open one of them so that the rivets were clearly visible. The plugs are securely plugged into my EQ jacks and I'm now getting great sound from my music system.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

Good for the price. Good connection.

I routed the signal from the deck to the amps in my church. The contact is good. The plastic body is ok. The outer case can be rotated 180 degrees. It's easy to repair, remove, screw on and reattach. This had better be the key so this can't happen. The male end is easier to twist wrong. Pinout 1,2,3 on the connector is not suitable. Compare it to a woman and that's fine. I shouldn't have either. For the price it's ok. The electrical connection is good, that's the most important thing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Speed

They get the job done on microphone cables

So far they're a good product. Replaced some faulty connectors on a pair of 25ft cables. The connectors easily fit the snake's circuit board and body, as well as mics old and new. I don't know why some people have complained about the plastic in these connectors melting when the wires are soldered in. I simply tinned the wires and they soldered very quickly with no problems. You don't need a lot of heat. If you treat these connectors with a little care, they should last a while. If anythingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Be careful not to melt them!

I've been soldering XLR connectors for over 30 years so I can get it done quickly and efficiently. If you're not that good at it, you'll probably melt them down. I messed up the first one (Daddy) as the pins melted the plastic and then cooled it so it wasn't straight anymore. I used the woman to keep the alignment a few more times (and worked quickly and sloppily). The plastic has too low a melting point and the aluminum pins/shells transfer the heat from the soldering iron immediately. Butโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some issues
