I had a little problem how to open them so I could solder the wiring. I happened to open one of them so that the rivets were clearly visible. The plugs are securely plugged into my EQ jacks and I'm now getting great sound from my music system.

I routed the signal from the deck to the amps in my church. The contact is good. The plastic body is ok. The outer case can be rotated 180 degrees. It's easy to repair, remove, screw on and reattach. This had better be the key so this can't happen. The male end is easier to twist wrong. Pinout 1,2,3 on the connector is not suitable. Compare it to a woman and that's fine. I shouldn't have either. I've been soldering XLR connectors for over 30 years so I can get it done quickly and efficiently. If you're not that good at it, you'll probably melt them down. I messed up the first one (Daddy) as the pins melted the plastic and then cooled it so it wasn't straight anymore. I used the woman to keep the alignment a few more times (and worked quickly and sloppily). The plastic has too low a melting point and the aluminum pins/shells transfer the heat from the soldering iron immediately. But…
