Began throwing a ton of read errors on one of the disks. Still with that cable, I could still unplug the drive, erase, and then try to add it back to the array, but there were still a lot of read errors right after attempting a rebuild. Replaced the cable with another brand (Cable Matters) and everything is fine, reinstalled with no errors. I have another one in another box and it hasn't failed in the same time yet.

I'm using it on one of my NAS devices on a Supermicro SC743 chassis with a SC743 SAS backplane. Since the cables aren't that long, it just fits in perfectly without a lot of cables. The thickness of the cable allows for more flexibility and helps with airflow to other motherboard components as I have 4 intake fans on this case. to LSI 9211-8i HBA and still no SATA/SAS data errors. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Helps, but only 3 out of 4 SATA ports work. I have NOT contacted the seller/manufacturer for a refund as I could do without the 4th port, but be aware that the flimsy cables that connect to the SATA ends are REALLY flimsy. Still, for the price, I got what I needed and the rest of the SATA ports worked with no issues.

So far it seems to be working fine. Individual cables are quite thin and feel fragile. I would feel better if they had another layer of insulation to make them feel a bit tighter. Otherwise they work fine.

I had to replace miniSAS to 4x SATA on my Dell PowerEdge T420 as the latter was kinked and no longer working. Since it shows it's used to connect to motherboards, I took a chance instead of paying $30 for the official part. This item works, but there is a communication error with the drives that makes it unusable in the T420. I then tried an ASR-2405 PCIe adapter and a pair of ASR-6405 and ASR-6405E PCIe adapters, with which this cable works very well.
