I used two of these to run dual monitors on a 2015 MacbookPro for almost a year. Please note: I use two, one for each built-in Thunderbolt port, each adapter only works with one monitor. I've recently used a standard HDMI connection elsewhere and found that it slows down the computer significantly, even for a single monitor, compared to using that single monitor or dual to dual monitor adapter. I did boot camp and tried everything to get this to work with my HP laptop for work. Caused far more frustration than necessary. Finding instructions was pretty difficult! Couldn't find them, their website was inconvenient for users.

This adapter worked fine but the build quality was odd as there was a gap between the white plastic bezel and the (aluminium) silver matte case. which I think allows dirt to get into the adapter. The lightning connector was very difficult to plug in and unplug and the up direction was not marked. Worked well for the first month. Now I am having a very hard time getting my VGA monitor to work. I have a Surface Pro 4 and have no issues with my HDMI monitor dock, so I know it's not my motherboard/graphics card or input. I've also hooked up my VGA monitor to other computers with no problems, so it's not the monitor or the cable. I just can't connect it to the CableDeconn aluminum adapter anymore, which worked great for the first month of use.
