One of the monitors in my family is the HP LP3065 30 inch monitor. I bought it about 15 years ago. At the time it was one of the best monitors available. accurate (after calibration) colors. The downside of the monitor is that it comes with three dual-link DVI connectors. When this monitor was designed, DisplayPort and HDMI were either in the early stages of development or didn't exist yet, while USB was of course C, wasn't even invented yet. Very few graphics cards today support dual-link DVI.

You can make your old 30" Apple Cinema Display work! This adapter did the trick (and after I bought two other brands). Finally success. As mentioned before, you just have to click on an option in System_Preferences->Display to enable the native resolution of 2560 x 1600. See photo.
