Great gift, original idea!

I got this mug as a present for my boyfriend and he was very happy about it. It was very cute, arrived early and had very nice packaging. I think it's really cute and I was happy with the overall product for the price. However, it looked different than what I expected when it arrived. I am not sure if the photo conveys this. First, it's very large and also so light that it looks like it could be plastic. All in all a very cute and beautiful gift at an affordable price.

Pros
  • Large Capacity - 16 oz perfect for your favorite tea, coffee, chocolate and any cold or hot beverage. Don't get up anymore!
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Something more "industrial " was expected.

I've worked in laboratories that use borosilicate glass for a variety of purposes for decades. It's heat resistant and generally durable, withstanding surprisingly well the bumps and knocks in the lab. The purpose of this mug is to mimic that, but with an added handle and a molecular diagram of the caffeine molecule thrown in for humor. This is jokingly a little annoying, because one of the most important safety rules in the laboratory is to NEVER eat or drink out of laboratory glassware. A…

Pros
  • Microwave safe: thicker pyrex glass and ergonomic C-handle, comfortable and secure in hand. This coffee mug can be used in the microwave, but we strongly recommend that you stop using it. Hand wash recommended.
Cons
  • Safety

Very Fragile + Inaccurate

I bought this mug because I was tired of measuring creamer in a separate measuring cup, then pouring it into a mug and rinsing it out. Surprisingly, large mugs aren't very common, so I chose this pretty mug in the shape of a glass. I know the description says +/- 5% difference so I took a grain of salt accuracy but that was really too far for what I needed it for. I ended up marking the desired level with a marker, which made it sort of impossible for me to buy a measuring cup. Not really on it

Pros
  • UNIQUE SCIENCE COFFEE GIFT: A great gift for anyone who loves science and chemistry. A gift from Bravo to a science and chemistry teacher. The perfect gift for any science lover - graduation, birthday, anniversary!
Cons
  • Contemporary

Mistake. my FAVORITE coffee mug so far!

update: why does it have to be so thin? Too thin and broke within a few months. So my favorite cup is now a mason jar with a handle. I like glass because I like seeing how the light diffuses and how dark my coffee is. And he is fat and strong! _____________ I like to drink coffee from it. Absolutely my favourite! It's a bit flimsy and sometimes I'm afraid it will break, but it's borosilicate and should be pretty strong. I like the caffeine molecule on the one hand and knowing exactly how much…
