Review on ☕ Caffeine Beaker Mug: 16 oz Borosilicate Glass Chemistry Mug with Measuring, Handle, and Caffeine Molecule Design - Perfect for Coffee, Latte, Tea, or Any Hot/Cold Beverage - Tea Coffee Mug by Amugo by James Hounds

Something more "industrial " was expected.

I've worked in laboratories that use borosilicate glass for a variety of purposes for decades. It's heat resistant and generally durable, withstanding surprisingly well the bumps and knocks in the lab. The purpose of this mug is to mimic that, but with an added handle and a molecular diagram of the caffeine molecule thrown in for humor. This is jokingly a little annoying, because one of the most important safety rules in the laboratory is to NEVER eat or drink out of laboratory glassware. A glass of Pyrex or Kymax (with an added handle and a fun caffeine molecular diagram) doesn't have the firm and durable feel of real lab glassware that I was hoping for. I like it and will use it, but bought it thinking I'd get something "more genuine".

Pros
  • Microwave safe: thicker pyrex glass and ergonomic C-handle, comfortable and secure in hand. This coffee mug can be used in the microwave, but we strongly recommend that you stop using it. Hand wash recommended.
Cons
  • Safety
