Good entry board.

Good board for the price. Gave it to my son for Christmas to see if he would like to get in. He's been enjoying it so far and definitely got our money's worth.

Not Recommended - Skateboarding

Not Recommended, got this board for training (I'm not a heavy person) and it cracked with one throw already, I'm not a big fan of how flimsy this board is . After the tail broke, we decided to test the strength and jump in the middle. Yes, he couldn't hold a 120-pound man that landed on an ally.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Nice looking beginner board

This is a beginner board that doesn't run as fast as it should. It's a clean design and after replacing the bearings it's a much nicer board (but I wouldn't need to change bearings to make it a good board). If I were to compare it to the $36 boards I would say this board is better than them.

Great board for beginners of all ages

Took a shot at this Cal-7 after looking at lots of kits on Revain in the $40 range. Turns out the extra $10 for the Cal-7 was well worth it. My son bought a Chrome Wheels board and we both think the Cal-7 is better. The Cal-7 is a "real" skateboard compared to others in this price range. I've searched a lot to find something similar in this price range, but it seems like if you want a "real" skateboard you better be prepared to shell out $75 and up. So this Cal-7 seems like a lot.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

2nd kid, 2nd board, another great purchase

I got another Cal 7 board for my other kid and they're still great products. No damage issues (I mean we'll beat them in everyday use anyway) in transit and no quality issues to speak of, even with endless ollies. I think people who have spoiled food on arrival suffer from shipping, not Cal 7; Make sure they don't ship damaged items - YMMV. These are great boards for any user, especially if you are just starting out; Bearings are a bit slower (5s? I forgot) but solid deck with solid components.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Useless features
