Description of 📊 Calculated Industries 7445 AccuMASTER Duo Pro Pin & Pinless Moisture Meter: Find Hidden Leaks and Moisture with Non-invasive Pad + Pin Sensors! Perfect for Restoration Contractors, Woodworkers, and DIYs.

ESTIMATE MOISTURE CONTENT QUICKLY AND EASILY – detector offers ideal dual functions of pin and pinless sensors in one. Use the pinless pad as a quick “ranging” feature to scan a large area for suspect areas without leaving holes. Then, switch to pins to quantify moisture level at various depths. PERFECT FOR HOME INSPECTIONS – Use the pad for quick non-invasive pinless scanning to find locations with higher than average moisture behind a wall or under a floor. CAUTION: Powerful pinless pad sensor measures to 3⁄4” but can be influenced by materials up to 2 inches below subject material (e.g. metal screws, nails, workbench supports, etc.) Keep fingers clear of pad scanning area. Use pad to detect variations from normal and use pins to quantify it. CHECK LUMBER AND HARDWOOD BEFORE BUILDING AND WOODWORKING – Use the pins to know the moisture content of your wood to make sure you’re not using damp, moist wood on your projects to avoid cracks, splits, warping. Ensure wood flooring has acclimated before installing. EASY TO USE – Large easy-to-read backlit display. Sturdy, hand-friendly tester body feels solid when pressing replaceable pins into materials. Hold key freezes reading. Test lumber or porous building materials – drywall, carpet, brick, concrete and plaster.

My hardwood floors used to crack.

The hardwood floors in front of the kitchen sink were starting to wither. The ground guys came and gave an estimate for repairs. They never measured the humidity or where it came from. I received this meter and found water leaking from under my faucet. After chalking with silicone this stopped. Without a gauge I would pay hundreds of dollars for nothing and my floors would be damaged if sanded while still wet. This little tool has saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Pros
  • Good job
Cons
  • Can't remember

was skeptical about this humidity meter compared to all the 'good pros' for a few hundred bucks but this one has helped examine several boats nearby with moisture meter CT 33. Exactly the same readings as expensive analogue meters and this one has tooth and plate sensors as well as digital. Very easy to use, insert battery, power button and select 1 of 4 options, has visual and audible alarm and the ability to pause if you don't see the screen during the measurement. That $70 saved me hundreds…

Savior! in moisture meters

I don't often write reviews but this one deserves it. We had a very strange smell in our home office and it was driving me crazy. I suspected a mold problem under the window but couldn't locate it so I bought it to dig around and try to find the exact location. Within minutes of unpacking, I identified the wet areas behind the drywall and found my problem the next day. The problem wasn't even under the window as I suspected. It is very easy to use and very accurate. I've read complaints of…

Worth it if you are a plumber!

I am a licensed master plumber and in the early years I had many different moisture meters, they were a very expensive tool, now the markets are flooded with all sorts of things. So in my opinion this little guy is the best return on a buck, it's small, very accurate, the probe tips are replaceable but I have no idea where to get them but they unscrew for now, I'll go it's fine and I've yet to break it, but they're metal and easily push into wood or drywall and just snap off like some pos…

  • 1 year trial period

maybe I have a lemon. I measured wood for a cabinet project. At first everything on contacts showed around 5.7-5.9%, then mostly 0% and sometimes around 5.4-5.9%. then it's almost always done 0% with pins. Next I tried the seal on the same wood and it generally showed 7.4-7.9%. This difference between pens and pad is whether or not the Kem-Aqua body finish can be applied; Low readings are okay, but block readings are outside of the target range. What is right? I do not know. I am sending it…

Works well - easy to use

This is my first Moisture Meter so I don't have a comparison but I'm very happy with it. I use it to test my firewood to see if it's ready to burn. Seems to be very well built. You have to push with a bit of force to get the teeth into the wood and I was a little worried these little pins might be brittle but they aren't. They are solid and the case seems to do the job. I've experimented with this a bit - I've tested a piece of wood and then left it indoors for a while and every time I've…
