Calcutta RP1BM Rockpile Sunglasses: Stylish Eye Protection for Any Adventure Review

No packaging material covered the lenses and the box was too big. Slight scratches on the glasses due to the lack of packaging. They are like cheap beach sunglasses that you would pay less than four euros for at the discount store. They're not even close to Costas, but they're not that expensive either.

For the price, it's hard to complain about them. They seem pretty decent, and considering the cost and the fact that they're polarized, that's a pretty good overall value. The only caveat I'd like to offer is if you have a large melon like mine and are encouraged by reviews saying it's huge. I'm here to tell you to lower your expectations. They're a little tight for me, but not terrible.

These sunglasses have everything I need for my glasses: light, polarized and affordable. I first encountered them at a small bait shop in a small town in California and have been using them ever since. Because they're inexpensive, I can replace them every few months when they fail, so I don't have to babysit them. Finally, if you have a big head or a broad face, the Rockpile is for you.

Excellent glasses! I've bought several pairs of these in the past. The quality is a bit poor...but for $20 I love the style and the way they sit on my face. Wear them all the time, work, play, etc. Go through a pair about every two years.

I compare these glasses side by side with my much more expensive sunglasses and am really happy that the differences are so small. I care for all my sunglasses the same way, but Calcutta is just as strong and durable as anything else I own. I've got about 100 hours of beach volleyball on this set (which is quite a long time on the court) and I don't see any noticeable wear or scratches on them. I don't get six pack abs very often now, but I've had a few dodges and rolls when my glasses come off

Good glasses. They quickly became my favorites for boating. They are designed for a large face. If you have a small or narrow face, you should probably look at a different pair of glasses. My only complaint about them is that the mirrored surface scratches easily when I rub it with a soft cloth. I was surprised this happened. I took care of them and certainly didn't use anything abrasive. Without this problem I would have given 5 stars.

Good price and high polarization for such an affordable pair of glasses. I have had Calcutta glasses for many years and this is the first pair of glasses I am not happy with. They don't provide adequate eye coverage in the morning and evening. The sleeve broke off in my hand while wiping the lenses.
