Easy to install and revived my ailing water heater.

With the exception of the tank drain, replacing the top and bottom items in my 55 gallon heater took 15 minutes. Saved me the cost of replacing a heater that was producing hot water and went out in minutes. Works like new again.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Clean

You get what you pay for

Choose another brand even if it costs more. This "universal" part was not screwed in. The thread did not match the water heater. Had to send them back and they made me pay for the return postage. I also bought a removal tool from the same manufacturer and it was too free. Had to get another one from Lowe (which worked straight away).

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Faulty

Good machine at a good price

Works well. The price is right. There is a star deduction because of the blister packaging. The plastic was so tight to the bars that it took some time to remove without damaging the device. I suppose a soak in hot water would make things easier, but I already had the heat off and didn't want to heat the water on the stove. Whoever invented blister packaging must pack his head in blister packaging. If you don't have a 1 1/2" socket, it would be a good idea to also purchase Camco's 09883 5"…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Empty
