We love low power consumption and these heaters are hard to find. I was so happy to find it that I've ordered another one for future use. The heating works well and saves energy.

I have a 100 amp power supply for a lake property I own. The brand water heater I bought had 3500w cells and I wanted to reduce the load on the electrical system. These 2500W elements were perfect for my purposes. I don't know how long they will last, but the price is right.

I purchased this item to use in my 6 gallon weight in my van. Why it works so well: It heats the water while putting less strain on the electrics of our 30 time serviced van. My wife and I can take turns showering and still have enough hot water to wash a few plates. Instead of the conventional 12 amps (1400 watts), it only draws 5 amps (600 watts). bought 3 of these they are told by others the element is 6 inches from the bottom of the threads. my package was marked camco #02493. I used these to replace faulty ones in a 3 element electric water heater, the elements are silver but I don't believe they are stainless steel, the threaded head was the same silver as the Element body and magnet stick to it slightly so I bet it's just nickel plating of the whole device.
