High Quality 30Amp RV Power Plug

I found this Camco product to be very good quality and easy to install. I used it to replace the original molded plug on a 30 amp RV power cord. The original plug overheated due to a camping power socket that had a visibly worn socket that was not properly pressurizing my plug. Installation was easy and required few tools; Phillips screwdriver, good knife and wire cutters. The instructions are clear and simple enough for anyone to follow to ensure the connector is properly connected to theโ€ฆ

  • An absolute legend

  • Hard to say

Same price better connector

Let me tell you the truth. I threw a 30 amp power cord under the RV to pull it out the other side. I heard a sharp noise and the plug fell into pieces. My local hardware store had the exact same plug, but now I was less confident that I could rely on that plug as the sole AC power source for my setup. It looks like this fork is less likely to die the same death, at least just because it's yellow. instead of black and rounder. Of course it's not waterproof. Of course it is not easy to installโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Very easy to understand and complete instructions. Looks VERY solid and easy to use (plug and unplug). I don't normally read instructions for something as simple as this, but this one even lists the dimensions of the screen cut, the length of each wire to be cut, and the amount of shielding. should be undressed. It also tells you to place the ground wire at the bottom of the plug. Following your exact instructions was great THIS TIME. This plug fits perfectly into the standard port on my vanโ€ฆ

Replace the plug and save the heap!

Our 19ft Airstream trailer requires a 30Amp wire for shore power. Over time, the factory shore-side plug (plug) has become detached from the power cord, creating a risk of electric shock. I looked for a replacement plug at local hardware stores but couldn't find one. I was about to spend big bucks on a new cable, but then I remembered Revain and found this Camco connector. After making sure the amperage and pin count matched my old connector, I ordered a replacement Camco 55283 connector withโ€ฆ

Perfect size, almost waterproof

Easy to follow instructions. A much better choice than local HD or Lowes replacement connectors, they are far from waterproof and have a no-clamp connection, just a screw-on sleeve that works for solid wire but less so for stranded wire. Stranded wire is what your RV has. It has a clamp connection on the wire. With a bit of silicone, you can easily turn it into an absolutely watertight joint. Clamped and tight to 10/3 30 AMP wire. If you have an old camper with a molded plug that shows signs of
