Stay Hydrated with the CamelBak Classic Hydration Pack - 85oz Review

I love Camelback. I've been using them for many years. I ordered this for my desert bike touring partner. It works great, keeps liquids cold and doesn't leak. Just like every other Camelback product I've had.

I took it on a trip where I wanted to walk a lot. I used to take a bottle of water with me when I traveled, and it always annoyed me to have something on hand. It was much more convenient. It also holds more water than most water bottles so I wasn't worried about running out of water. I'm a tall guy so I was a little apprehensive about this fit but I was able to adjust it for a comfortable fit.

I bought this to replace Camelbak which I loved but ended up gifting to my daughter. It leaked the first time I used it. Appears to flow around the lid but not out of the lid. It appears that the bladder is not fitting snugly to the base of the cap. I've never had a problem with other Camelbaks I've had. Others that I have owned were purchased from legitimate companies. After reading other reviews with the same problem, I was wondering if it was genuine camelbak or a cheap plagiarism.

I was very pleased to receive this product after carefully researching the options on the market and deciding to go with the brand over the cheaper alternatives. I tried using the CamelBak while taking my dog for a gentle walk in the nearby park, but I couldn't even leave the house due to a bad backpack leak. This Camelbak Classic is better than my old Rogue because it holds more water. Also, the bubble lid is easier to open and close than on my Rogue. The downside is that if you don't close the lid tightly enough or properly, the water will leak out. There's a small storage pocket that I use for my wallet and keys, but otherwise it's a lightweight, minimal package. This is my favorite gravel backpack. I bought this to replace my 11 year old 70oz Classic. I needed a little more water capacity as I moved to a dry climate. Overall, it's a worthy price tag as it's just as light and comfortable as the original Classic. Claims of getting 20 percent more water per sip are just marketing nonsense, as is the shut-off valve on the Bite Valve holder.
