Works very well. If you're hiking in warm weather, you need to have plenty of water for most of the day. I use it as a work bag since the nurse visits patients at home, so I take filtered water or sweet tea.

Looks like a great bag but I bought it as 'NEW' and it was already filled with water. Suspicious. Return and maybe try another seller if you can't explain what happened here?

I'm a long time Camelbak fan! Bought these primarily for a 3 liter bladder but the storage pockets come in handy for longer hikes. I'm not impressed with the bulky hydration pockets, I feel they need to drastically redesign this area of the pack, especially if I don't use a bike pack at all and occasionally but mostly use a rain cover. These pockets on the bottom are a bit bulky if they are loaded with full bladder (i.e. rain pockets should be in zippered pockets, not open pockets)…

As an avid cyclist, participate in several fundraisers for cancer in South Florida each season. I was looking for a new hydration system to accommodate changes in my training and activity participation. I already have several CamelBak backpacks for different cycling events; Which one I choose depends on how much weight I'm willing to carry and what type of activity I'm in.
