good for hiking but not running

I wanted to use this vest for long runs but found it too bulky for that, although great for half day hikes. The side pockets aren't very accessible while running, and the rear areas for stowing a jacket or whatever require the vest to be removed entirely to access. I think it works best with the tank in the back rather than the bottles in the front. The bottles at the front make it heavier and more unbalanced, so it gets constantly banged around the neck, especially when you're running. It will

All-purpose hiking/wet-weather vest

Stylish and fashionable vest for a variety of activities, especially for hiking, long-distance running or sporting events. The vest is approximately 30 inches wide and approximately 15 inches long. As you can see, it's smaller, great for athletes, but if you have a big chest or belly, it won't fit. Definitely a nice outfit with some transparent details. There are about 8 pockets or compartments in this little garment and all are superbly finished, with either integrated elastication, zip…

Good for trail running but small in size

I liked using it for trail running. The front bottles are great for storing water or an electrolyte drink. For longer runs I can add my own water tank. It doesn't have much extra room for things like jackets and gloves for cool-weather running, but it's great for a cellphone. I actually prefer to use the rear reservoir and just one of the bottles so that a pocket opens for a first aid kit and pepper spray. It's lightweight and breathes easily. In addition, the front straps are easy to fasten…

SMALL EXPENSIVE but good overall

It all started with my 14 year old. Then my 12 year old, then my 10 year old daughter! This vest has NO rear tank! It has 2 front bottles, it's my fault for not reading carefully. As for the price, I really think it should include all 3, but then again that was my fault. My daughter is 10 years old, she is very average height. We can gently squeeze it to give her some room to grow. I think that means this thing works pretty much. I'm a medium in most women's fashion and it does NOT suit me even

Lightweight, front loading

I personally like the rear facing tank with front storage pockets. The front of the water is best balanced by the added weight of the back. If the vest isn't balanced, it tends to work forward or backward, which isn't good for your posture and running time. Bubble bags are better than bottles that can spill. 34 ounces of water weighs 2.13 pounds. I like to drink cool water on hot days. I also like the feeling of being cool on the back more than the side. Your body heat warms the water. One of…
