Better than pre-cut light seal kit

You definitely need more foam because installing new foam is not easy. I made a lot of mistakes and had to repeat a lot. You will also need an Xacto knife, a cutting board and a steel ruler.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • not reliable

This is by far the best option. You can buy pre-cut for.

I had to replace the light seals on the camera. This is by far the best option. You can buy precut ones at a higher price or buy this product and replace light seals on hundreds of cameras or if you make a mistake don't worry just make another one. The quality is fantastic

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good product! Does what it should.

Very comfortable foam. Simply cut with a utility knife. The adhesive sticks without any problems and stays in place. Yet he does his job well. Used it to fix light leaks on a 1909 Kodak camera. The results are very good. The supplied sheet is of great importance. That's enough for me to service many other cameras.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • No instructions

cuts perfectly with spinning wheel

great product and much cheaper price than precut sets. I use my desktop rotary paper/photo cutter and it creates perfectly sized strips. 1.5 is so versatile that if you're desperate for something deeper you can always use a second strip over the first. Most old DSLRs and rangefinder bodies that I've re-foamed seem to use 1.5mm.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • poorly thought out

No light leakage! for camera and photography

Ideal for attaching the light seals of the old Canonet G-III QL17. I used this 3.0mm for the groove where the tailgate lip slides into the camera body. It took a minute to remove the adhesive for this particular seal and 1.5mm for everything else. Easy to cut with an exacto knife and the glue is very sticky, just lick it off to buy time for placement. This is what you need to fix your old camera!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I will add later

The Really Best Camera Bags

Excellent product. If you're serious about refurbishing your camera, only use this foam. This is the same specification used in original Nikon, Canon and Cosina bodies (Cosina makes camera casings for many different companies). If you overtake more than 2-3 cameras, buy a set in stock. I bought them individually as I needed different sizes, but an assortment set is cheaper. All of them are convenient because you can fold the varieties according to the required thickness of millimeters.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Difficult to install in a narrow duct, but popular nonetheless

This rating is based on 1.5mm foam. I couldn't fit 1.5mm thick foam into the side channels of a Canon TX door (35mm film camera from the FD era). I wasn't able to get the sticky side of the foam to consistently attach to the bottom of the channels. So part of the sticky side ended up on the open side of the channel where the door edges enter. So when I closed the film camera door, the stickiness kept the door closed. This made it difficult, but not impossible, to open the door again. I switched

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • There are flaws
