🚲 2021 Campagnolo Record 10-Speed Ultra Narrow Chain Review

KMC link and off you go. Noticed the difference immediately. My Campy 10s kit is much happier. Crazy alerts around the world that come with the chain. Careful, tap this link and you will die. However. The KMC link solved everything.

I have been riding seriously for about 35 years. Campy is my favorite network. Most leading chains are very good. One thing to note is that modern campy chains require a special chain tool to fit this chain to your bike. If you don't understand this comment, you probably shouldn't get this thread.

Ordered a 10 speed touring chain, the box has been opened and closed again, normally it doesn't matter much and the chain is still in it was in the bag and the box was for a 10 speed touring chain. So I installed a chain marked "R11" which was too short and had no links to add, nor did I add a locking link - I found a spare among my parts. Also, it took over a week to arrive. Not good.

When using Campy 10sp components, you are not skimping on one of your most important cables. Chain! The entrance fee to Campy is always high, but the reward far outweighs the cost. What about the chain setting you ask? Instead of a Campagnolo chain tool, which cost twice as much, I bought a Revain BikeHand Bike Bicycle Professional rivet remover for less than $20 and it worked great!

Chain works as it should. It is recommended to use a Campy chain tool to secure the link pin. I tried using my park chain tool to get the job done and ended up bending the connecting link and breaking the pin on my park chain tool. Not too much of a setback as I bought a Wipperman Connex case in anticipation of a possible failure. I'll deduct a point for needing a special tool just to connect the ends of the chain, though.

What a wonderful machine. It's the last cog in the car that gets me moving forward on my bike! How inventive. I would like to emphasize the processing quality and the fast delivery. The installation method is quite original and I am amazed that so many years have passed since the invention of the chain before anyone came up with this idea. Wasn't da Vinci Italian? At least his Italian colleagues came up with this amazing system, albeit many years later. It's never too late for greatness I…
