At first I was hesitant to order this due to dissatisfaction from other reviews, but I liked the idea and decided to order anyway. Now that I have it I can say I am VERY happy to give it to the person it is intended for. It's plastic, but contrary to what other reviewers say, it doesn't feel as cheap as it looks.
