Great well built power supply with snap on power switch

I just received this kit because I was having trouble with the Vilros power supply that came with the Vilros Raspberry Pi Kit I bought. I had to heed recommendations to stick with the Cana Kit brand. This PS is of much better quality in every way. The cables are thicker and stronger. The power delivery is much better. I had constant power outages with Vilros PS and never found out what the problem was. Now that I have the Cana Kit PS I haven't had any shutdowns or reboots.

Perfect power supply and switch for Raspberry Pi 4

Very happy with this purchase. This power supply and power button combo works great with my Raspberry Pi 4. After completely shutting down the operating system via the menu button or equivalent command in the terminal, simply press the power button on the Pi Switch to turn off the power . When you want to use the RPi 4 again, simply press the power button again to boot the Pi. You no longer have to pull and plug in the cable to turn your RPi 4 on or off. Great product!

Pros
  • Includes exclusive USB-C PiSwitch CanaKit (power switch for Raspberry Pi 4)
Cons
  • Empty

Better than RPI4 official power supply

This CanaKit power supply is much more stable than RPI4 official power supply. With the official RPI4 power supply, I've had occasional freezes and can't even get the Pi running under load for 24 hours without a manual restart. It took me ages to figure out that this problem could be diet related. I saw that the CanaKit Power Supple specifically mentions that it has a noise filter for extra stability and decided to give it a try. This works for my setup! Now I can easily work 24/7 under load…

Pros
  • 18AWG cable
Cons
  • Legacy model

Works well for Pi4: Computer components

I was getting low voltage warnings on my Octopi server with a random power supply. This solved this problem immediately. My pi can also operate a connected webcam without any problems. Loved the power button as oddly the pi4 didn't have one built in. Unfortunately, it has to be reloaded more often than usual, for example when starting the 3D printer I trust. The switch is a welcome alternative to the USB unplug/plug, as is the indicator light next to the switch. Don't skimp on your power…

Pros
  • Includes noise filter for added stability
Cons
  • Available in white only

Roasted my Raspberry Pi 4!

I was happy to use this power supply with a switch to simplify power management on my 4GB Raspberry Pi, but when I plugged it in yesterday the Pi had trouble turning on . At first I thought it was just an issue with the display cable or my monitor settings, but then I noticed that the Pi actually rebooted. After about 2 minutes trying to figure out what was going on, the Pi stopped working and wouldn't start again. I've tried a different power supply and microsd card, it's just dead. Until now…

Pros
  • UL listed, cord length 5ft
Cons
  • Not trendy
