🐶 Premium CANIDAE Petite Small Breed: Grain Free Wet Dog Food, Limited Ingredients for Optimal Health Review

I thought my dog would love this food and it would be safe because he eats kibble. She doesn't like it and when she finally ate it, she threw up because she was very hungry. I tried to return it and the company said the company has no return policy. This is wrong and very disappointing.

I don't usually write reviews. I wanted to feed my dog a quality dog food with no offal or rendered meat. I've tried so many top brands like Merrick, Wellness, Halo but he still had loose bowel movements. I had to feed him cooked chicken or beef with additives for several months before I found this.

I don't really know about the quality or taste of the ingredients as I don't eat them, my dog does LOL! However, I know my dog is the pickiest little kid on the planet and over the years I have tried to prepare fresh food for her by cooking it any way I could and she hated everything but this one that she made ate instantly. She left other brands on her plate until they were hard, dry and gross! I had to throw them away because I never imagined her eating them like that!

I have a 14 year old Chihuahua girl with a tooth remaining. I saved dear Frida many years ago. The local animal shelter took care of her terrible teeth and when I picked her up she had a 4. She eats enthusiastically and can still chew small bites. Now that she is fully grown and has lost 3 more teeth she needs quality soft food. This brand is perfect. She is in good health and has a good weight. The only problem I have is that this brand is often out of stock!

I bought this item for my dogs at the end of December 2019. Because of the price I expect not only the quality of the product but also the customer service. Absolute disappointment! Seeing is believing there is mold in the food. Yes, the mold is green in small areas or has penetrated the interior. A customer service rep asked me to email them pictures and no further action since. Money is a big issue, but risking my dog's health is so much more than anything!

It's been over a year now that my dogs love this food BUT I've spent more on stuff to stop tear stains. There is quite a bit of water in each container and it all clicked when a batch with 50% water appeared. I had 5 cases in a month and saw a slight improvement due to the excess water but I think it's time to switch to another food. I will try dehydrated and add filtered water. My little pomeranian is a rescue dog and unfortunately has lost a lot of teeth over the years. I like to put a soft feeder on top of her pieces to make it easier for her to eat. The wet small breed food I was using suddenly became difficult to order from Revain and I switched to a beef and carrot patty formula. She seemed to like the former. so the product itself is good portions and stuff my dog loves and i buy it monthly for gummy bears but sometimes i need 1 more pack of 12 between chew orders and i have top quality Shipping so I save a few bucks and get 1 pack on Amazon so I don't pay Chewy shipping for 1 pack.
