Great colors - just not as economical

Works great - just not enough for photo printing. The results are way better than any photo shop I've used ie. CVS, Snapper, Shutterfly. I used to work in photography and YES there is a difference if you print at home with Canon paper and inks. about 50 4 x 6 inch prints by filling all 6 needed ink tanks with my Pixma 7520. After reading the reviews I tried to "press" and print after the ink change light came on. As long as it's true that I can print a lot more like this... I WANT this ink to…

Pros
  • Solid construction

  • Fairly ok, but...

Nice colors but there are cheaper inks.

If you want to print something really special on special paper to make it look special on a special wall, buy this ink. It does the job incredibly well. However, many Canon printers will accept cheaper inks. While not as bright as the manufacturer's ink, they do the job well and are very economical.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Not as thick as other sets

Excellent quality and original Canon brand but ends quickly

The print quality is higher than the base. There are no complaints about the quality. This is a genuine Canon product. I've tried other cheap brands hoping to get the same quality for less money, but I've found it really isn't worth straying from an unnamed brand. Inkjet printers use a lot of ink, so unfortunately if you're printing in color you're going to have to spend a lot on ink, so I try to print in black and white as much as possible. The price is the same as everyone else at Revain but…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I will write later

I chose this product because it is an OEM product, at least I thought so. When I opened the box, the cartridge wasn't wrapped in cellophane like it normally (I think) is. I've changed these cartridges literally hundreds of times with no problems, but this time when I removed the orange tab the ink ran out of the cartridge (not spilled but poured out) - ink on my hands and a pair of good pants otherwise it will drip. I bought two, but something was wrong here. I didn't want to repeat the mistake

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

How do you think Canon makes money?

I have used Canon inkjet printers for many years and prefer the cheaper models that print no larger than 8.5x11. I consider these printers disposable and just throw them away after the printhead 'dies', which seems to be the main reason these printers fail. There is no point in repairing them as it will cost more than the printer. Of course, every time Canon (and others) launch a new line of printers, the old cartridges become unusable. Clear? This is a fairly legal way of separating the…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
