Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

I bought myself this unit, instead of 1000d. For a long time I chose between him 7d and 50d. 50d, no matter how its advantages are painted, is already outdated. The magnesium body as an advantage is doubtful, given that on the "so-called cheap plastic" 1000d I had the experience of shooting handheld MTO550, without any consequences. And the micro-adjustment of lenses - in a truncated form, is also preserved in 60d (adjustment for brightness and contrast - adjustment of peripheral illumination).

Pros
  • 1. A large number of settings will allow a person who understands to adjust the device for himself, a beginner - not to get confused. 2. Relatively light weight for semi-professional equipment 3. Comfortable in the hand, especially after buying a battery grip. 4. Rotary screen, 3:2 format allows you to objectively evaluate frames 5 Electronic horizon (for panorama - just super) 6. High ISO and good quality pictures at 3200. 7. Video (although I have never tried it for several months). 8. Swivel screen - also very convenient.
Cons
  • 1. The SD memory card must be of a high class - otherwise it will be hard to think in continuous shooting.2. The high price of the battery pack and native batteries.3. There is no moisture protection.

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

I took a second camera for 5d mark2 for shooting video. I didn't expect much from this camera. but when I started working with her, it turned out to be a very pleasant thing)) I was very surprised that for such money there were so many pleasant things in the cell. in good light gives almost the same picture with 5d. but above 1600 iso it’s no longer worth shooting. 1600 for noise as 3200 for 5d. but don't expect more. crop is even useful when you need a long focus)) when you take a hefty…

Pros
  • video 60fps rotary screen. good ergonomics very low power consumption. 5d mk2 sits down 3 times faster. stable firmware compact size very nice camera for the money.
Cons
  • waterproof case. separate video mode on the wheel. it is not convenient to scroll it almost the entire turn from M mode to video. blocking on the same wheel is also frustrating sometimes.

I definitely do not advise buying, the product disappointed.

I still do not understand who this camera was created for. Video. Do you need it? For beginners, there is a three-digit series, and two and one has always been the lot of amateurs and pros. And this is already too much. I can't bring myself to call "it" a good camera. if it cost as much as 550, then there would be no demand, but it costs an order of magnitude higher and in the lineup it is positioned a class higher, but in fact it has gone a quarter of a step. My opinion is to look for D40 or…

Pros
  • I still do not understand the dignity of the rotary display . but why ? Trying to come up with virtues, I couldn't even come up with them.
Cons
  • About the rotary display above. Why SD? CF is several times faster. I have been using the D30 for more than a year now. I have never regretted that I can only look through the viewfinder. In fact, live viewing is everything for beginners. The body is disgusting. The first time I took this device in my hands, I did not even believe my feelings. And having inserted 70-200 L4 with a stub, I was horrified. the lens outweighed the camera very much. became, simply, uncomfortable to hold. Regarding the number of pixels: tell me, who ever printed huge photos ? my 8 is enough to print an A1 size photo. I use the maximum iso only for reportage shooting. in ordinary life I do not rise above 500 iso. The buttons on this device are very inconvenient, it is not clear whether they pressed it or not. And the device itself, tactilely does not lie in the hand. The feeling that I picked up a cheap one, but you can’t tell for the price.

I like the product, the quality didn't let me down.

In general, the camera is very solid. Before it was the Canon 1000D. The difference is incomparable! Shooting with this camera is a pleasure. All that I personally don’t have enough paired with this camera is only two things: full frame, working ISO up to 6400, but I don’t position this as a disadvantage of the camera, it’s a question of price. I recommend to buy for those who have already passed the stages of 450-1000D cameras.

Pros
  • - Comfortably lies in the hand; - The swivel screen still turned out to be very useful in some conditions); - A capacious battery, a 16 GB card runs out faster, and the battery is still more than 50% alive - at least for me (RAW); - a very convenient location of the buttons, although not quite standard because of the rotary screen - I'm used to it so much that everything is absolutely to the touch; - fast focus. 9 points are enough because all my life I’ve been shooting only one central one, cropping after focusing - and no problems !; - no backlash, the assembly is very decent (made in Japan) - additional screen - I only look at the settings on it, I can’t imagine how I used the main one for this before.
Cons
  • - working ISO - up to 1600, at 3200 there is already a lot of noise that requires strong processing in the lightroom. - upsets a lot - this is already a small kick in the direction of FF; - not ff - although what am I talking about;) this is still a camera for an advanced amateur, rather than a pro; Although I note that for beginner wedding photographers - not a bad option; - I personally don’t need the built-in puff at all, it worked once or twice - just for checking, I didn’t open it anymore) - there is no tracking focus for video, although I don’t shoot video, but this is a minus;

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

Switched to 60D from 400D. I switched because of the presence of the video function, better ergonomics and new features that the 400D simply does not have (such as an electronic level, etc.). For the price, it's an excellent choice for image quality, workmanship, ergonomics, and feature set. For those who need high burst speed and other professional bells and whistles, choose the 7D.

Pros
  • 1. Good workmanship (with minor exceptions). 2. Good grip, grippy materials where the hand touches. 3. Gorgeous LCD screen. 4. Rotary screen. Relevant for video and when shooting photos from uncomfortable positions. 4. Good picture quality in general, as well as at high ISO. 5. Availability of Full HD video. 6. Electronic level (especially in viewfinder mode - very convenient). 7. Card formats - SDHC and SDHX. SDHX is now gaining momentum and is no worse than CF in terms of speed, but the prevalence of the SD format is much wider. You can plug it into the same laptop without any problems. 8. Blocker on the disc with modes. On the old camera, the mode regularly changed spontaneously (from Av to M), especially when you quickly take it out of the bag. Several times were missed good shots. 9. You can create your own menu with the most frequently used functions. 10. Detailed information about the state of the battery (including at the time of charging).
Cons
  • 1. Slow AF speed in movie mode. 2. There is no tracking autofocus in video shooting mode. 3. I don’t really like how the buttons on the joystick are pressed, somehow it’s not clear and not informative. 3. There is a slight play in the cover for the SD card - unexpectedly against the backdrop of the high quality of the device as a whole. 4. Spots from the LCD screen are poorly rubbed off. You can't just breathe on it and wipe it off with your sleeve. 5. The button for deleting pictures is inconveniently located. You have to use your other hand. 6. Unnecessary modes on the disk - "Portrait", "Landscape", etc. 60D owners are unlikely to use them, and spinning the wheel from Av to the "Video" mode is a long time. 7. There is no possibility to view pictures with magnification immediately after shooting - for some reason it is necessary to enter the view mode.
