Replaced Another 10D

I had a 10D which I tried to clean myself and saved some money. You know what, I destroyed the old one. Bought this as a replacement and have been using it for a few years now. Works great and will be a lot more careful this time and have realized I'm by no means a camera mechanic.

Pros
  • New
Cons

Great camera. in Camera & Photo

We bought this camera shortly after it was released. Today, 8 years later, the camera still works great. We photographed with the D10 in a wide variety of landscapes from the equator line to Alaska. Our next DSLR will be from Canon again. But not now :) it still has life.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Trade In

Great DSLR Camera

This is a great camera for the money. It takes great pictures even when I used a Nikon lens with an adapter. It's also very well done. I got into photography after class and we had a Canon 30d. This camera actually feels more durable and premium than the newer 30d. The only problem is that you can't use EF-S lenses, only EF lenses. Otherwise, this is a great entry-level camera.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Just perfect for camera and photography

This camera is just perfect. Adjustability, ease of use and battery life are amazing. I was shooting all day (from 7am to about 7pm) and it wasn't until I finally downloaded the pictures to my computer (I took 250 of them) that I got the low battery message. It seems to compensate for white balance much better than my Sony and focuses faster than my latest Canon DSLR (I have a Canon 28-200mm USM lens). It has a large enough buffer so you can shoot in a row in single shot mode. However, in…

Excellent tool suitable for digital SLR cameras

Canon 10D I have now about 6 months. After receiving it, I sold my film cameras because I no longer use them. The camera feels good in your hand. The controls are intuitive. The Canon manual is clearly written and easy to understand (unusual in my experience). You can change the ISO from shot to shot, and up to ISO 800 there's very little noise. You can go as high as 1600 or even 3200 but there will be a lot of noise. Auto white balance is good but not perfect. I shoot in Canon RAW so you can…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
